LeadingAbility is a leadership programme created and delivered by disabled people for disabled people.

The programme is about capturing and maximising talented disabled people’s leadership abilities, empowering them to live the life they choose, to contribute meaningfully to their communities and work places, and both directly and indirectly contribute to creating a fair and equal society.

Unlike most mainstream leadership programmes, LeadingAbility directly addresses the interface between leadership and disability and takes the view that disability is an advantage for leadership.

The LeadingAbility programme is underpinned by the social model of disability values, is rooted in the principles of choice and control, and how participants’ own unique insights and skills – gained through their particular lived experiences – are valuable assets for effective leadership.
